Winchester Utilities will be installing a new water line on Holders Cove Road and a new water tank on Little Mountain Road this October, which will increase the much needed water volume and pressure for approximately 2,000 homes and businesses in the areas of Liberty Road, Highway 16, Mingo Road, Lexie Crossroads and Lynchburg Road. The down side to this is that water pressure could be in excess of 100 pounds per square inch, possibly causing damage to water pipes. To protect homes and businesses, we are asking everyone to install a water pressure reducer valve.

This is the responsibility of the customer as this is an installation between the water meter and the home or business.
